Farizon New Energy Commercial Vehicle Group has opened a global spare parts distribution center to improve aftersales support for its international customers. The facility, located in Hangzhou, China, began operations this month and will coordinate parts inventory across the company’s overseas markets.

New hub aims to cut delivery times for commercial operators

The center is designed to streamline supply chains, reduce lead times, and ensure more consistent parts availability. Farizon, a subsidiary of Geely Auto Group, says the facility will help fleet operators minimize vehicle downtime—a critical factor for businesses where every hour off the road affects revenue.

Representatives from Farizon’s international business, supply chain, and logistics teams attended the opening ceremony, along with executives from Geely’s passenger vehicle logistics and spare parts divisions. The collaboration is part of Geely’s “One Geely” strategy, which integrates resources across its automotive brands to improve efficiency.

For commercial vehicle owners, the stakes are higher than for typical car buyers. A broken-down truck or bus can mean lost contracts, missed deliveries, or stranded passengers. Farizon’s move suggests that aftersales support is becoming a competitive differentiator as the company expands into new markets. Smaller distributors, especially in regions with less developed infrastructure, may struggle to match the speed and reliability of a centralized system like this one.

The company did not disclose the size of the facility or the number of parts it will stock, but officials said it will adapt to local demand as Farizon’s international footprint grows. Current markets include Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and parts of Europe, though the company has not released a full list of countries served.

CEO ties expansion to long-term customer retention

Cook Xue, CEO of Farizon Auto International, called the center “an important step in strengthening our international customer support capabilities.” In a statement, he said the company will continue investing in infrastructure to provide “dependable, responsive, and locally relevant aftersales services.”

Farizon’s focus on aftersales aligns with broader trends in the commercial vehicle industry, where manufacturers increasingly compete on total cost of ownership rather than upfront price. Fleet managers often prioritize brands that can guarantee quick repairs and minimal downtime, even if it means paying slightly more for parts or service contracts.

The company has not announced plans for additional distribution centers, but Xue indicated that the network will expand “in line with the needs of fleet customers, distributors, and service partners.” No timeline was provided for future developments.

Farizon’s parent company, Geely, has been expanding its commercial vehicle operations in recent years, though it remains better known for passenger cars like Volvo and Polestar. The spare parts center is the latest effort to build a more integrated global supply chain under the “One Geely” framework.
