AMP Super Launches Digital Tool to Address Retirement Fears - retirement confidence
Only 52% of Australians feel financially confident about retirement, according to AMP’s survey.

AMP Super has launched a digital retirement experience following research revealing 58 per cent of Australians fear their savings will run out. The initiative comes as part of a broader effort to address growing uncertainty among members planning for retirement.

The AMP Retirement Confidence Pulse survey found only 52 per cent of Australians feel financially confident about retirement. This gap in confidence drives the new app’s focus on providing clearer insights into retirement readiness.

Available through the Apple App Store and Google Play, the AMP Super app consolidates retirement planning, digital advice, and pension management. Features include projected retirement income estimates and longevity projections to help members gauge their financial sustainability.

Eligible members can access personalized advice on contributions and investments via the platform. Retired members can manage pension payments, adjust withdrawal schedules, and submit requests directly through the app.

The app also integrates Lifetime Boost, designed to enhance future Age Pension outcomes for eligible users who opt for AMP Lifetime Retirement Income. AMP Super emphasized the tool’s alignment with its strategy to advance retirement outcomes.

Members can track super performance, view personal rates of return, and manage investments and insurance. Market updates from AMP experts, including chief economist Shane Oliver, are included to keep users informed.

AMP group executive Melinda Howes stated members seek clarity on their retirement position and actionable steps to improve financial security. “This new digital experience brings together advice, retirement planning, and income management in one place,” Howes said, highlighting the goal of enabling informed decisions.

The launch follows AMP Super’s receipt of the Epic Retirement TICK accreditation, recognizing its retirement products, advice services, and digital capabilities. This marks a significant milestone in the fund’s retirement strategy.

The app complements AMP’s new super and pension web portal, offering a unified digital interface. By combining multiple functionalities, the platform aims to reduce the reliance on basic balance checks and provide deeper engagement tools.
