Cross Rental Services appoints new chief executive
Cross Rental Services, a specialist in equipment rental, named Matt Parker chief executive, replacing Graeme Nesbitt, who will serve as the new board director and strategic adviser.
Matt Parker joined the business as UK managing director in 2024 and has overseen investment in equipment, people, and infrastructure across the UK operation, contributing to double-digit year-on-year revenue growth during 2026.
According to Matt Parker, “Cross Rental Services has a strong reputation, exceptional people, and significant opportunities ahead. Our focus will be on building on the expertise that exists across the Group, investing in engineering capabilities and continuing to develop specialist solutions that help our customers operate in some of the most demanding environments.”
The company has also appointed Russell Harrison as chief financial officer, who brings experience supporting multi-site, private equity-backed organisations from his previous roles at PwC, New Look, and Hobbycraft.

The leadership changes come as Cross Rental Services continues investing in acquisitions, its fleet, and operational capabilities, alongside expanding its depot network with new sites in Warrington and Birmingham.
